Clarissa Castro, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Healing begins in a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted. I am passionate about creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore life's challenges, strengthen your resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and stress management. I believe every person deserves to feel seen, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a humanistic philosophy that recognizes each person's inherent strengths and capacity for growth. I integrate Trauma-Informed Care, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy approaches.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and responsive to your unique experience.
My therapy superpower isβ¦
Drawing from my experience supporting survivors of trauma, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault, I understand the importance of meeting you exactly where you are at. I believe that while we are not responsible for the painful experiences that have happened to us, we are worthy of healingβand therapy can help make that healing possible.
My clients describe me asβ¦
Warm, calming, and easy to talk to. I believe that meaningful therapy doesn't have to be without moments of humor, and I value creating a space where you can feel emotionally safe while also being gently challenged toward growth. Our work is rooted in developing a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, validation, and authenticity.
Fun facts about meβ¦
I enjoy getting lost in a great bookβwhether it's a thriller, romance, fantasy, or science fiction novelβpracticing yoga, caring for my ever-growing collection of houseplants, discovering new movies and television series, and cooking for family and friends. Growing up in a Latinx family, I believe that food is truly a love language!
