Marla Hamilton, MHC-LP
Psychotherapist
I believe you deserve to feel good about who you are, exactly as you are, and I am here to help you explore your story with warmth and curiosity. My intention is for therapy to be a safe space where you can be fully yourself, without fear of judgement. In our work together, weβll explore your emotions and life experiences, helping you find meaning, resilience, and a greater sense of ease. I want you to leave each session with more compassion for yourself, clarity about what truly matters to you, and practical tools to help you navigate lifeβs challenges with increased confidence and self-trust.
My clients describe me as non-judgmental, safe, calming and warm fuzzy. I use an eclectic mix of interventions in my sessions, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory and Mindfulness-Based approaches. My work as a therapist is heavily influenced by my experience as a postpartum doula. Witnessing so many familiesβ journeys through the messy, sacred transitions of parenthood has given me a firm belief in the power of human connection, accepting help, and a nice long nap!
My therapy superpower isβ¦
Helping you to make space for all of your thoughts, feelings, and lifeβs experiences (in all of their complicated glory) with care and kindness.
My approach in therapy isβ¦
An eclectic mix of interventions, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based approaches.
Fun fact about meβ¦
I often use pop culture references as part of the therapeutic process! I love how these shared reference points can create connection, illustrate a concept, and bring some levity to the work of therapy.
